Summer is all about cooling – frozen sorbet is a wonderful way to enjoy the fruit of the season in a dessert while still staying relatively healthy. This lemon sorbet with a hint of rosemary is also naturally fat-free and vegan and does not require an ice-cream maker, making it a treat anyone can enjoy.
The recipe calls for:
- half a cup of lemon juice (3-4 lemons)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tbs lemon zest
- ¼ of a cup of fresh rosemary
Instructions:
Squeeze the juice out of the lemons and mix all of the ingredients together in a pot on low heat.
Keep mixing until the sugar melts without bringing to a boil.
Next, use your ice cream machine if you have one. If not, simply pour the liquid into a bowl of steel or glass and freeze.
Mix every 20 minutes. After 3 hours, the sorbet is ready to share. Scoop and serve!
